One of Valpo’s most historic parks is getting a major upgrade! This 12-acre community park will offer a brand-new playground, three new shelters, two new restrooms, an improved ballfield, a new parking lot, ADA-accessible pathways, bright LED site lighting, a beautiful native restoration area with trails, and a reshaped greenspace for even more outdoor fun! 

The brand new play structure is designed for extra height and adventure. At 19 feet tall, this is one of our tallest slides yet — towering above the old one previously at Butterfly Meadows. Inside the see-through towers, climbers can stretch, explore, and test their skills with steep steps, open ropes, and challenging vertical climbs that build strength and coordination. On the ground level, a low climbing wall surrounds a playful space with a hammock, talking tubes, tic-tac-toe, and play shells create a spot where everyone can join the fun.

A hard surface trail connects the park to the nearby school, Parkview Elementary. 
On-site parking and two seasonal restrooms are available.  

Shelter Rentals

Two shelters will be available to reserve, while the third will remain non-reservable and open for everyone to enjoy.
