Valpo Parks Challenger Baseball League is an adaptive sports program designed for individuals ages 5-22 who are physically or intellectually challenged and is centered around building skills both on and off the field. This program teaches basic baseball fundamentals, along with other necessary skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and bonding with other athletes in the community.               

Spring Program Details

  • Age: 5 - 22 years old by April 1, 2023
  • Dates: Sundays, *Late April - June 
  • Times: 11 am - 12 pm
  • Location: Samardzija Field at Tower Park 
  • Fee: $65 Resident / $77 Non-Resident
    Register for both before April 12: $110 Resident / $124 Non-Resident  
  • Includes:  Jersey, Hat, Socks and Finisher Medal

Fall Program Details

  • Age: 5 - 22 years old by April 1, 2023
  • Dates: Sundays, *August - October 
  • Times: 11 am - 12 pm
  • Location: Samardzija Field at Tower Park 
  • Fee: $65 Resident / $77 Non-Resident
  • Includes:  Jersey, Hat, Socks and Finisher Medal

Looking for Buddies

Make a difference! Valpo Parks is looking for “Buddies” to help with our Challenger Baseball League. This league is for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Buddies are used to assist the players in the areas of batting, fielding and base running when necessary.

No prior experience is necessary and there will be a buddy meeting prior to the season starting. Buddies are needed for this program at a 1:1 ratio and should be able to commit to attending each session
