Preschool at Discovery Cottage 

In a fun-filled environment, your child will learn the importance of good manners, following directions, taking turns and sharing. Child will also be introduced to shapes, colors, numbers, and literature. Monthly themed classes. (Max of 14 children per class). Classes offered either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.

A specially designed curriculum structured to prepare your child for Kindergarten. Multiple assessments as well as parent-teacher conferences will be done throughout the year to ensure proper growth and development. Classes offered in morning or afternoon.

Class Descriptions

Kids Yoga:  Head, shoulders, knees and toes!  Kids will get their bodies moving through fitness and yoga.  Games and creative play will help them stretch, wiggle and move their way to fun!

Art Attack:  This art experience is all about having fun while exploring your child's creative side, sharpening fine motor skills, building confidence and enhancing their love of art.

Wee Bop Dance:  Instill a love of dance in your wee one!  This class will teach basic movements, and proper techniques through creative dance and imagination.  

Kids Warrior Fitness:  Participants will have fun while learning about body control through martial arts, and a variety of challenging obstacles.

Kulinary Kidz:  Inspire your little chef with delicious fun!  Hands-on kitchen time will allow your child to learn lifelong skills, and express creativity in the kitchen.

Wacky Science:  Kids will have a blast doing mini-experiments and making huge messes and memories together!

Little Elves Workshop:  Kids will have fun this month creating holiday crafts and decorating cookies

Bricks 4 Kidz & Young Rembrandts:  Young Rembrandts provides a nurturing and strong learning environment that expands preschoolers' image vocabulary as they draw familiar images such as fish, teddy bears, rainbows and cowboys.  Class will concentrate on the skills of drawing and coloring while developing fine motor skills, listening, staying on task, patience and spatial organization.

Bricks 4 Kidz introduces your preschooler to the fun of learning, building and playing the Bricks 4 Kidz way! Watch their eyes light up as kids dig into a pile of brightly colored DUPLO Bricks to create fun, simple sculptures based on the ABCs.
